Johann Sebastian Bach wrote an eleven-movement motet of the hymn Jesus, Priceless Treasure by Johann Franck. The odd-numbered movements of the motet are the six stanzas of the hymn, and the even-numbered movements are from Romans 8 (verses 1, 2, 9, 10, and 11). Bach used the same chorale setting for the first and final movements (stanzas 1 and 6 of the hymn), and we are pleased to present that chorale setting here.
